The Project Swing Big Band is a young and energetic big band full of great talent and plays Jazz and Swing classics and standards as well as Latin, Rock and Funk in the big band style.

Project Swing was formed as a 17 piece ‘big band’ complete with a four-piece rhythm section, four trumpets, four trombones and five saxophones plus a resident vocalist.  From the very first rehearsal, it was very evident that great things could happen. From the very first tune played at that first rehearsal, the band had a great energy and natural cohesion, no doubt attributed to its youth but also the infectious enthusiasm of its Leader, Andrew Montfroy.  None of the band members are over the age of 28 with several being under 18 and still at school.  Considering their ages and limited experience, the band has many great soloists and has a strong and impressive ensemble sound.
